I have read about this before and seen it on a medical programme, where a woman gained weight for no particular reason, and they did this procedure and found a bacterial imbalance, and gave her a sample of her sisters stool full of the right kind of gut flora and she is now back to normal.

I like how they make the microscopic poo look like sherbert pips I used to eat as a child :-)10
