As of 7pm tonight my 2 call ducklings were hatched!...........so far so good they are moving well and chirping quite a bit.

Will be moving them into their brooder tomorrow morning

Thankyou everyone for the advice and replies to my last few posts. They were all very useful.

Great news ! What happened to the other eggs you had abandoned and put in the airing cupboard Duckiedee?

The mum sat back on them!. I candled them yesterday and they are all still alive!

Couldn't believe it to be honest but hopefully in approx 2-3 weeks i should have more ducklings

I will try and get some pics done of my ducklings when i have figured out how to do it ! lo

me again.......was wondering if anyone can tell from the colouring of the ducklings what colour they will eventually be?......probably a silly question but they could be white. chocolate or apricot.

Denzil is quite a bit darker than Matt.

A long shot question I know but worth a try lol

They are so gorgeous! Obviously the most intelligent and beautiful babies ever hatched (except my new baby quail of course.)

There are actually nine quail this time - have taken some video but not uploaded to yuotube yet, will do! They are so tiny and yet you wonder how they could possibly have fitted into those even smaller eggs yesterday!
