Great taste awards

I was thinking it might be fun to have our own great taste awards competition for our eggs, if it becomes popular it might attract sponsors with prizes but id be happy just to win first prize in the quail category, i think most people on here keep chickens so id likely be the only entry.

Would anyone be interested if it could be organised?

There is one already in the uk for fine foods that includes commercial eggs, no egg has ever received three stars which makes me want to enter but you have to be selling them and i just keep them for myself.

We could appoint tasters, id be no good, i cant eat eggs from birds fed on soya or grain, have categories for chickens, bantams, ducks, quail ect and maybe an all inclusive category for best tasting egg across all poultry types.

Somebody hosts an egg tasting, entries are sent in the post and the winners get a break from all the advertising and maybe a little gold silver or bronze egg next to their avatar.

It'd be interesting to see if people using certain brands of feed tended to score higher, prizes for double yokers, largest in category ect.
