i have been given 5 1/2 sheets of onduline roofing for free yiiipppeeeeeeeeeeeeee saves me nearly £75 or just under i am so happy , only thing now is i gotta learn how to do roofing oh i so love the guy who does my culling as these are who i got them from but i think hes happier as he hasnt got to try and dump them  .

i've finally decided on making my run into a U shape which means that 90% of the mud will no longer get trodden into everyday by the girls it will just be me going near it with the help of the pathing slabs of course but that i can cope with anyway now i have these sheets part of the new U shaped run will be 33ft long by 6 1/2 wide as this is the size of the sheets will that size area wil be fine for 10 birds ?? . once this is all done i'll end up with 4 pens within a 33ft by 30ft area but great thing is i'll still only need one set of keys as i'll only use the main door cause within the main fence all the runs will be connected by inner doors and they wont need to be locked omgggggggg finally my girls will be dry and happier , the bantams pvc roofing starts going up the weekend i just gotta work out how to get it at an angle without having to touch any of the main fencing as i know thats secure agaisnt the foxes .
if anyone knows if anyone who lives close to me and is willing to work for egg sarnies and cups of tea then send them my way

:D Yay! you must be pleased to finally get it sorted (and cheap too) ...do post a pic when u have finished! Our actual run seems ok but the area surrounding it is now a mud bath rather than grass, so will have to get some paving slabs i think! I had 4 hours sleep after a busy night on labour ward, got up and have spent the rest of the day sorting out my girls ( oh and my kids, lol!); chicken world hear i AM

Well done! :-)08 I am not sure if you have used Onduline before, but make sure you get the right fixings and attach through the peak and not the trough of the onduline like wot I almost did! :D

And drill the holes bigger than the screws too. Shop around for the fixings and the prices differ huuuuugely.

its the black sheets foxy the same as i have on the house roof you mentioned to me ages ago :D so yes its the proper ondunline ,i have tons of the right screws but may need to go get new caps as i have run out  .
the run might go smaller in width for the girls but does that matter they will be dry and thats more important but to do thier side i need to get the house moved first , i've already started to put up the sepration fence to stop them going near the mud and i palced that about 9 foot from the main outer but seeing these panels are just on 6 1/2 ft it makes sense to just make the run that wide :D :D i am happy and excited as once its all dry in there i am going to put down 4 bags of aubriose bedding so i am praying i wont need to poo pick everyday i can just rake it up once a week or go round and shake it about with a shavings fork bit like mucking out the stables just with smaller poo
but the poor faverolles wont go under a roofed run for a little while so they will have to bare with me i hope they will understand and not get jealous .
