Glitter

When I was at school it was just clear glue I seem to remember

Aye, any clear glue ought to do it. Seem to remember we used UHU back in the day, but people now seem to rate a product called Mod Podge. You can also get glitter glue pens that combine the two if you want to be a bit more intricate.

If you're sending it to someone you're not that keen on, you can put some loose glitter in the envelope too :-)10

If you want to add glitter to a card what do you use to glue it on with?

Best not to use it at all.

Quite agree Marigold. Hate the stuff.

Yeh I know what you mean. It gets everywhere and you spend the next month hoovering it up. But I think it lends a note of cheer especially in the long dark winter months. For me a snow scene with silver glitter or a fireside scene with gold glitter are magical.

Me too! And these days, you can get biodegradable glitter.

On a weird note about glitter and it's uses. Dublin Zoo (and I assume other zoos around the world) use glitter to determine if their rhino (or maybe hippo? Can't remember which) female is pregnant/which female is pregnant. They feed the female in question feed laced with glitter, which is not digested, and comes out the other end, so they know which poop they need to test!

Indeed. With a bit of digging, we may even learn something about poultry! [emoji23]

Oh blow! All my comments about glitter and what did I get? A glittery card ...

No, it was from my 91 year old aunt. Actually it was a very pretty card and practically all of the glitter has stayed attached.

Unless the Christmas Post is really slow in the Shropshire/ Wales borders, happy birthday Margaid :-)

Thanks Icemaiden - it was a birthday card with little butterflies wit glitter on their wings.
