About two week ago I noticed that some of my ex-batts were making rattling noises. They didn't have any discharge from their nostrils or eyes and there was no funny smell and they were otherwise absolutely fine (not behaving like ill chickens at all). They did occasionaly look like they were "gasping" for air but I thought perhaps it was due to the very hot weather. Then some more of my ladies started rattling. I wondered if perhaps this was gapeworm? I am now on day 6 of a course of flubenvet, but it doesn't seem to be making any difference. Do you think this sounds like gapeworm, and if so, how long will the flubenvet take to work? If this isn't gapeworm, does anyone have any ideas what it could be?
