Hello,

I should have 6 large choc brown Copper Black Marans eggs by Monday that won't fit into my incubator. These have been selected for size and colour as well as being the right shape. I don't want to eat them

They are free to the first person who replies to this post saying they want them - all I ask is you pay the postage and poly box cost - £3.99 and give me a report on fertility.

I have been hatching and they are believed very fertile. I have sold only 2 lots of 6 this year. Now is the perfect time of year to hatch LF and these should turn into good dark egg layers for you.

OK this is sounding more like an ebay listing now!

I will post them out on Monday assuming I get a taker  I will PM my email address and you will need to pay the P&P before I post.

Thanks,

Tim

darn it!!!! why are my incubators full
lol no matter, i will have to buy some later :o
hubby bought me another octagon advance autoturn and country fayre sent 2 so i had an unopened one sat in my kitchen for a couple of days but the courier picked it up today

Yes please Tim. I've got the incubator fired up and all seems to be working.

Are these from the same stock as the eggs you were selling on ebay? (Assuming you are rcpoultry)? They looked a lovely colour, I was out bid on them!

Serves me right for having a Sunday lie in---why was Rooster up so early today!!! Ros

Rooster - they will be on their way - my wife will post them today first class.

Ros - I'll probably have some more next weekend (I'm out in Holland at the moment but back Friday) let me see what the girls lay towards the end of the week. I only like to hatch the correct size / shape eggs that are the darkest colour.

Tim.

Hi Tim, I also live in Bedfordshire in Leighton Buzzard. Having read your old post, I wondered if you are expecting to have any spare fertile eggs this spring/summer? As you know ,my last foray into hatching was great but I hatched 6 out of 6 cockerels! If one of the girls goes broody I would love to try again, however, I would prefer to collect the eggs, so I can document the process with pictures from beginning to end. I know that sounds sad, but I am a big softie and my chicks are pets! Please get back to me if this is a possibitity? My email address is [email protected] I can only access it about 3X per week, so please have patience!! Regards Linda

Hi Linda,

They have been laying since December but they have a Light Sussex lad in with some of them too at the moment so I will need to be careful which eggs I send to you. They are actually all up for sale as I need some more space but if I can get some eggs to you before they sell, I will.

I will have a look to see what they are laying on the weekend- I'm not at home at the moment with work and so on.

I will be in touch. Tim. ;)

Thanks Tim, I'll keep in touch as I think Mrs Broody is going broody again! Just my luck as i rehomed 4 hens on Thursday. She will let me know in a few days. Linda

I have 6 eggs I could send you now - they are lovely and dark, the best I've had to be fair but I cannot guarantee my cheeky Light Sussex lad hasn't been involved in part of this.. They have been stored for a few days but I don't normally have any problems hatching them.

Let me know if you want them, PM me your address and I'll get them to you.

I would ask that you cover my P&P costs.

Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim, Many thanks, however Mrs Broody seems to have gone off the boil for now. She did this last time then went broody in June! I am prepared to collect any eggs and pay for them, so long as I can bring my sister with me and if poss have a look at your set up! Joking apart I would like to see your set up as mine is purely a back garden coup! The light sussex being involved is perfectly ok with me, my girls are egg laying pets, I just like to keep my animals happy! Will def contact you if the lady needs eggs. Thanks again. Linda

Hi
Are your eggs still available?
We would be really interested as we would like some from a differnet blood line to ours. (common problem is cornwall).
