Watching my girls trotting around, I've often wondered how many steps a hen does in a day, and what sort of distance she covers, allowing for variables such as her age, breed, and size, also for size of run or whether free range.
So I wondered if we could get one of our clever members, such as Rick, our resident inventor, to turn his skills to the task of inventing a little pedometer which could be strapped round a hen's leg?
