First time out of the run.

Been wanting to let the girls out for a while but wanted to get my back fence a little higher first, but as I have a potentialfeather pecker in my midst they forced my hand.
Clipped a wing on each (needs must due to location) and let them out one at a time. Just did 20 minutes today to see how they got on, mostly wanted to get back into their run to start with, that didn't last long..

Left Queenie my crested in the run this time as she is very skittish and I don't want to stress her by catching her then put her out all on the same day.

She's fine withaanything unless it runs. She keeps following them and as they speed up I shout her to break her concentration. It is funny when she is just casually sniffing in their exact spot out of the whole garden.. Oh hai, didn't notice you guys (sly)

Tempting fate or desensitising her?

think i panicked too much that they may escape, i assume they only hop high fences for a reason?
Found their spot of moist dirt, guess it's like a Chinese buffet for them.

FAO Karminski, that's grass if you were unsure. Seems my flood defences worked thus far, hope yours grows back some soon.

i've never had grass in my runs as they went onto an allotment plot although at times i have thought about only ahving a few birds and splitting the run into 2 and moving them every month but it hasnt happened as i keep getting more birds :lol:
