first egg warren?

Hello yolks ,first egg this morn yippee lol ,your normall colour chicken egg, im guesing this would be frm my warren ?, do black rocks and bluebells lay different colours ??

Leghorn and Leghorn hybids lay white eggs, also some other Mediterranean breeds, and cream Legbar and Araucanas lay blue eggs. Most girls lay eggs in all sorts of shades of brown, and I had a Rhode Island Red that laid a distinctive pink egg!
Warrens are wonderful birds, and great layers, they are soft and friendly and mine are all very pretty as well.

Although most hens do lay eggs in various shades of cream through to brown, if yours are all different breeds you'll soon get to know who laid what by shape and size, as well as colour. You just have to watch and see who has been in the nestbox so you can learn the specialities of each of your girls. It's very easy if you have one who lays blue eggs, like my little Nutmeg - no problems there!
