Yes, did start to write something about how the RSPCA don't always get it right - like you see on the tv programmes dedicated to RSPCA case studies. - but then I deleted it incase it was too controversial. Sometimes organisations 'can't see the wood for the trees'!

Unfortunately, they don't always get it right.I think I've come accross possibly more horror stories than what they show on the t.v.
I think on the whole the majority of R.S.P.C.A. inspectors and workers do their best, suspect that the biggest problem is too many chiefs and not enough indians.

Yes - and some of those officers you see on these programmes are so young - most of them will know a lot in theory but perhaps lack life experience - life teaches you that books don't always give you all the info you need - often common sense and gut feeling comes into it more . Also a love of people too is required- I know some cases will make them sceptical towards people but on the whole most people are good - perhaps need educating about the animal but you see some officers going about it in the wrong way - humiliating and rubbing the basically caring owners up the wrong way - not to say some folk aren't downright evil and deserve more punishment than they get!! They should do a lengthy course on human psychology and that way could get owners to change their behaviour towards animals and make their job much easier - would also make our lives easier - those of us who love and care for our animals and have to put up with the hoards of bl**dy idiots out there.

Phew! well hopefully that's the end of the fireworks for a while - till New Year!!

I think you're very right there Anne.

Was chuffed about the fireworks being over :D ,then you reminded me about New Year...... .
