Googled Fescue & it came up with this??? http://www.fescue.com/

My other half is a head gardener, he says its just grass and its actually very common. Our chickens live round about in our garden and we have it and they seem fine

it's a type of grass!

like any grass, if it is too long, it may block your chickens' crop
just keep a check on them...

:)

same here i kinda like the name of it :-)10 shame they can invent a grass that grows overnight .

Well I know of a certain fungus or bacteria (I've read that it's bacteria, my boss read that it's fungus) that grows in fescue, which produces toxins. These toxins can negatively effect livestock. So I'm curious about the name of the fungus/bacteria, and if it affects chickens.
