Say hello to the first of this years chicks!
This was just a test hatch, 5/6 hatched. Trying out a new boy I hatched last year...really pleased. Lovely and healthy chicks with the cutest fluffy cheeks!

Fav chicks are just the cutest little things - I hatched my first LF ones out yesterday - do you think that you have 4 boys though?? - lucky you - all mine from the cock breeding line are flipping girls!!!!

Aww how sweet, its great seeing other peoples chicks, I just tried my new incubator to see how well it would work, got 19 out of 25, next time I wont put so many tho! Cant belive how quick they grow either my second hatch and Im amazed at how quickly they get their feathers and how much they eat!!

When I had some salmon pekin chicks last year all the ones which started to feather up dark were boys- does it work with faverolles?

Yep...actually four girls and one boy..soon wil be outgrowing their brooder...with another lot or so due this weekend..:shock:

Put the youngsters outside yesterday, in a special nursery with heat, as you can see very happy in their new home!
They are now almost 5 weeks old, and they're feathering up nicely! You can see the beginnning of their fluffy whiskers growing. The hen in my avatar, is mum to all of them!
