Hello to all on the waterfowl forum, I am considering branching out from the chickens into keeping a few geese and had a question about perimeter security. I have read Tim's articles on fencing and unfortunately a stock proof fence with electric strands will not be possible at my new place, partly as the borders are strewn with hedges, trees etc and partly as due to the shape of my land I will probably have to rotate the grazing between two secure areas, that being the case electric poultry netting would seem the way to go, I have used it before and find it a reliable deterrent to predators but was wondering if it may be problematic with regards to the geese themselves as I have seen stories of them becoming trapped in the netting so my question is will it contain the geese from escaping and what is the likelihood of them becoming entangled in your experience.
