Hi

Opened up the duck house lid this morning and watched loads of earwigs scurry away into the nooks and crannys of the house :o ! Are they ok to be there or should I be worried and get rid, if yes gid rid, how????

Ta very much! :D

Earwigs are probably good Duckfood imho. :) Loads of protien.Earwigs are nocturnal; they often hide in small, moist crevices during the day, and are active at night, feeding on a wide variety of insects and plants. Damage to foliage, flowers, and various crops is commonly blamed on earwigs, especially the common earwig.
They're not bloodsuckers like Mites or Lice, but like worms and beetles may carry worm parasites. :-)05 ... Well ... imho.

*Reb now worries that there is something that looks like and earwig and eats Duck and goes off to check*

ooh ok thanks, I will leave them be so the ducks can feast!!!! (anyway, they were far too fast for me) They were def earwigs, Ill just try to sneak up and flick them into the path of the ducks in the morning!!

Thanks for replying :D
