Early harvest

Just harvested our plums today, very early for us. Apples about a week away which is even earlier. We even noticed the first haws turning red last week when it was still July. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lockdown and lack of human activity for three months.

Just harvested our plums today, very early for us. Apples about a week away which is even earlier. We even noticed the first haws turning red last week when it was still July. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lockdown and lack of human activity for three months.

I got hardly any plums this year. We had very bad weather when the blossom was out. But I'm already well into picking apples. Maybe a little earlier than usual, but not too much. I have noticed some of the trees starting to get a little brown, and have seen the first leaves fluttering down already. Certainly very early for that!
