Does anyone here sell ducks near central scotland? I live in east lothian and am only looking for a couple - breed not that important, but bantam sizes (not call - too noisy!) preferred..
Thanks

There is colin Dick near Peebles, excellent quality and lots of different colours of call Ducks amongst other breeds

Hi Dorinda,

Are you the lady who has sablepoots- from Bev in Cheshire? If so how are they faring. We saw Bev at the Fed yesterday, her birds had done very well.

Yes and no - , my poots are my own originals, but I did buy a cockerel from Bev last year, but had problems with the stability of the resulting chicks colour - so I did't keep him - I've had poots for a very long time - my birds here came with me from France as eggs.. so I have kept my original line, hatched 70 last year, it was a real shame a lot of the sabelpoot breeders didn't manage to get to the show, I heard there were a lot of empty cages - Alex from Wales and myself left 10 cages without birds.. scottish National next month at least I should be able to get there :-)17

Hi,

Thankyou- that explains things nicely. WOW- 70 poot chicks, what a scene that conjuresd up!! Yes, there were quite a few empty cages.....We had a sablepoot from Bev earlier in the year, and your name cropped up- (in a very admiral manner)

Our poot is quite a lady, and whilst I think they are very striking, I am really taken with our Tillie, a Barbu D'Uccle- just love her facial fluff.

Would be lovely to see some photos of your birds when you get the opportunity.

Best of luck with the Scottish National.

Sharron

Dorindas sabelpoots are just so gorgeous! I have 3 from her now :D & hopefully a couple more birdies after the Scottish!!

Hi NCOTB,

Piccys please...... Reckon we ought to push for poots as the breed of the month for feb. I am putting my case together, with lots of piccys.
