Ducklings eat and poop??? What colour etc

3 week old call ducklings seem to be eatin mud and drinking moody water etc and there poop is different all time one minute it's a nice consistency like a dogs poop if you like then the next it's sloppy with White in it etc? Then next it mite be brown sloppy diarhea lookin . Is all this normal , I'm new to this

I dont know much about ducks, but they could be investigating, or doing that duck thing where they stick their bill into the mud and open and close it while waggling their heads in the mud. About the poos... i dont know, what are they being fed on?
