I recieved a phone call telling me that half of my order is hatched..3 Rouen, 3 Pekin, 3 aylesbury and 3 muscovy...we have a very big pond on the property for them to enjoy...im new to ducks , so if there is any advice out there please feel free. Thanks

Hello, what age are you getting them? Will they be off heat? they need to be feathered and/or waterproof before you let them on the pond- if incubator hatched they will not be waterproof at first as their oil/preen gland takes a while to kick in . If hatched naturally then they get oil from their mums feathers and are waterproof almost immediatley. You will need to lock them up at night in a safe shed/coop- unless you have an island on the pond and they learn to use it. Feed them duck pellets and wheat.
regards, David :)
