Duckling Bedding

Hi, I am new to keeping ducks and am expecting my first day old Campbell chicks (2) in less than two weeks (soooo excited) I have everything i need for the brooder but wanted to know if anyone has used Aubiose as bedding? if not what would you suggest other than straw? would really appreciate any advice anyone has xxxx

hi Gonequackers and welcome to the Forum. We're all a bit quacked about poultry on here, so you'll be in good company.
Aubiose is really excellent stuff, highly absorbent, very comfortable, and easy to keep clean by regular poo picking - unlike straw, which is really messy stuff once soiled. I think many of us on here use it, but there are other, similar kinds of shredded bedding available - it just depends on what's available near to you, preferably without having to pay the earth for transport.
