Down time this morning...

Hi All,

Our hosts had a planned 15 minutes of downtime for 6am this morning and they ran into some 'network difficulties' that resulted in one of our servers that runs the database being offline for the rest of the morning.

Sorry if you tried to reach us this morning... there was nothing I could do but sit there until the database server was online again.

thought it was just my rubbish rural broadband connection again! :roll:

They are usually pretty good - the private servers get brought back on line within minutes normally if there is some sort of failure - they have swappable hard drives so they just unplug us and pop us in somewhere else... so this must have been fairly serious.

I've only ever had to reboot the server once and that was when I did something silly! :roll:

Anyway, I'm off to backup the servers now which is what I started out to do at 6am this morning!
