Not sure if my DIY skills are up to building a door for my run (wasn't allowed to do woodwork at school because of being a girl :( )
but all my internet searches come up with are either endless pages of coops (WHY don't these people learn the difference between a coop & a run? Grump mode off...) or doors for houses which are either external, i.e. hundreds of pounds, or internal, i.e. won't survive for long in the rain.

Any suggestions where I can buy a ready made door?

You couldn't do woodwork because you were a girl? Are we in the 1960's by any chance?

Problem is not the cost of the door but the cost of the tools to make it. Got any retired craftsmen as neighbours who will work a day for beer money Icemaiden? Sounds daft perhaps, but my friend had loads of work done on her house in Lincoln by retired craftsmen for next to nothing. They don't work to the stopwatch (as I wouldn't now) but do a great job.

A mesh door, I'd have thought. School was in the early 1980's; not being allowed to do woodwork was a real bu&&er, as I wanted to make violins when I grew up at the time... Thanks for the link; looks just the job. I'll have to check what size the mesh on the door is, as it'll need to keep rats & squirrels out.

On a closely related (run-building) subject, do I need to concrete in all of the posts, or will I be OK to postcrete the corner ones & the ones either side of the door?

You could probably build it yourself for under £20 , just buy wood from anywhere. Mesh is cheap as won't even need 2 metres (if you weren't so south you coulda had some of mine I think I have lots left)

Will pm you some links for stuff save spamming this.
