Diet

Yes, it would help to know the size in particular, the heavier, larger breeds need a slightly different regime than say seremas or pekins.

Sorry about that the birds I have bought at the minute for potential show birds are all large foul hens, 1 buff laced wyandotte 23 weeks and 2 blue laced wyandottes 12 weeks. I was also looking at getting some Vorwerk hens to show.

The 23 week old is on layers mash as we have only just thought about showing so have just bought the birds to add to our collection and the 2 12 week olds are on growers pellets, all our birds get old bread and kitchen waste (greens and fruit included)

Also whats the best suppliment to add to the diet?

I expect people who actually show their birds will have extra advice, but for any birds I would cut out the old bread completely, also any kitchen scraps apart from the fruit and veg. If they are eating an age-appropriate layers or growers feed and are in good health, not moulting, and not in the middle of winter, they shouldn't need any supplements as all the vitamins and minerals they need will be present in their pellets. If you cut out the bread, which is nutritionally useless, they will have more room and appetite for the good stuff, especially the growers.
