Realised yesterday that it wasn't so much about keeping the sound in but the light out! Doh! Worked brilliantly this morning. Could do with automating the roof blind now to slowly open at 8am.

Yeah, sorry forgot to mention that Rick. We used to block the window in the outside loo we used to keep Godzilla and Lemony in and it used to keep them quiet for a lot longer.

The key thing is not to block the ventilation as well, it's all a juggling act!

The air vent has a black shade over it but it's quite a large space as well.
Whatever the plan is chickens seem to find a way to confound it!

What about popping him in your catbox and putting him somewhere in the house or garden shed overnight, Rick? I think they quite enjoy having some 'time off' from the girls, and time to eat more. He was my quietest cockerel, but I guess its awkward in a town.

I've just got to get some rubber matting to roll out over his clear roost roof Chickenfan. I've been making do for the moment with the padded wall cover that didn't really work and the trouble is that the neighbours cat can't believe her luck that I've laid on a padded sofa with entertainment on demand! She moves the cover while rolling around on it.
Linden was mixing happily with 4 out of 5 at the weekend. Just have to watch out for Teabag but even she is getting more relaxed with him around.

Good to hear things are settling down. If my cat reads this she will be over to yours like a shot, I am so in bad books after taking the carpet up on her stairs and I haven't even started sanding them yet!
