Hi,
I have been thinking of getting a Corti 25 automatic incubator. Has anyone used one and are they okay?

Up until now we have put ducks eggs under the Muscovy when she goes broody in May. Only have the one and she is getting on a bit. We left her in the duck house and when they hatched made it so the ducklings couldn't get out but she could. But if the geese were hanging around outside, she flew out onto the back of Tilly the Toulouse, hanging onto her neck and the pair of them went round and round with Tilly flapping madly. Now the ducklings are no longer with the Muscovy Tilly is getting her own back. She grabs the Muscovy by the neck and bounces her up and down. How she hasn't killed her! OH is at home all day so usually ends up sorting them out. She hasn't done it for a while now, the Muscovy stays out of the way, she is a loner and is usually down the drive somewhere.

Thanks
Yvonne

Very pleased with mine. Instructions poorly translated!! For chicken eggs I run it dry and only fill one reservoir at the end to keep the humidity about right. The instructions say for chickens to keep both reservoirs full---mine gets saturated doing that, I wonder if this is because they are made in Italy where temp and humidity are different? The only problem I have had is with the turner---a piece of wire, easy to see through the casing, can kink and flop in the way of the turning ratchet which stops it.This has happened to me a couple of times,it is easy to move this bit of wire out of the way by a prod with a pencil----WHEN ALL UNPLUGGED!!!!!! They may have redesigned this fault now?I have had good hatches with this and would recommend it. If I had loads of spare money in my "chicken box" I would not update it for a fancy expenSive incubator as I don't think I would get any better hatch results.I also recommend Tony at The Incubator Shop for excellent help.Ros

I too have a corti 25, automatic and agree with... a) the badly translated & badly set out instructions,
and b) the humidity recommended is much too high.

our first batch all died - fortunately we had only 6 eggs in it, further hatches have been good

certainly, for the price it is very good, get the auto model for an easier incubation!
:)

hi do you know where i can d/load the instruction
