Please would someone with some good knowledge of keeping chickens take a look at the below links to the pictures of my chicken coop.

What would your own personal opinion be of how many chickens I can comfortably keep in this coop , Its the 7ft one that I purchased from ebay recently.

Hello!

I'm not expert but I would guess at no more than 3 big chickens (LS/Orps), you might get more bantams in, but its good they have a good amount of space. There's only one perch, maybe you could add one so they are not all squished on one.

Just a word of warning about the ebay henhouses (I have done it myself). They are often imports and the wood isn't excellent quality, give it a good coating of preserver. I still did this and it didn't last the winter. :(

Again I'm no expert and I'm sure someone more experienced might help you too (tim/Davidd)

It's so exciting getting chickens, I've had mine for sometime now and I couldn't imagine live without them! Good luck with them.

Thank you for your input, I was also thinking a maximum of 2-3 as well I think we are going for a light sussex, an amber as a defo so quite good sized birds.

We are defo going to try to sort another perch as I was thinking one doesnt seem enough.

:)

Hi, i would say 3 large fowl or 4 bantams max- even then they should have access to the garden as often as possible. They tend to be chinese imports and will not last that long- you will need to treat it with preservative.
regards, David :)

Okay I think 3 things seem to have been answered here.

1. 3 hens
2. treat wood ( Which I have brought preserver already as knew this would need doing)
3. Make extra perch
