Compulsive disorders in chickens.

Starting to think Nancy may be a little 'odd'!
She starts the day like any other chook (present time a little stressed) scratching around, eating drinking etc and doing chicken things, then as the day progresses, unless she is in her garden 'space' without fences or ark around her, she gets more manic, running up and down the fencing, dragging her beak against it as if the world is going to end.
Once in the garden, she digs holes and goes about her own business and what I thought was a normal speed, but in present company, it looks completely manic. She has not a sidewise glance for anyone or anything else, then as it gets dark, she suddenly switches off again - well, hoping she does tonight, otherwise I might need to take the batteries out!
Has anyone else got a girl like this, or is she just a little manic?

We have a 7 year old blue orpington who is a bit like that BB. Paces up and down the run tapping at the wire to be let out. Once out she covers a huge area scratching about constantly and runs after us in the hope we have some treats. She is the first to roost, presumably because she is worn out.

Nancy is definitely worse when she sees me, or hears the car on the drive. Just came back home and left car on the road, so she didn't hear me. She was happily scratching away till I came into the garden, then saw me and started her pacing again. Crazy girl 07
