Thanks both, pity about the c*** photographer. Why do the birds always move just as you press the shutter?

We've got a quality compact camera with a terrible shutter delay on it Margaid. Our old standard camera (Fuji fine pix) the shutter reflex was instant, but we can't transfer the software to the Mac -they don't support the Mac platform. So basically we have exactly the same problem. Half a dozen pics taken where before the first one would have been good.
