clocking

In what context? I know one meaning, but not sure its what you are after! :grin:
 
Clocking refers to a broody Hen's slow and rhythmic cluck Once her Hormone's have clicked in, the symptoms of broodiness in a hen manifest themselves in several ways, Clocking is one.
 
That's something else I've learned today LC and heard it often. And I thought it was when you turned the mileometer back to make a car seem less used than it actually was.

Clocking/clockers is not a term I'm familiar with but could be substituted for the more familiar clucking/cluckers !

I've always taken it to be a Northern term Chuck?. .
