clipping lower beaks

one of my girls who seems a bit down has a long lower beak then the top half and i am wandering if this can stop her eating as well as she should be can it be clipped ?? vets have said they can do it but i dont have any money tell next week but a friend has said she will hold her of i do it but i know only to take of a tiny bit but i am worried i might do it wrong .

Hi, yes, you can clip it- just be careful not to take too much off- just do it a tiny bit at a time.

i did it and i went a little to far and it bled will she be alright i am a fool for doing it and i now feel bad for making her bleed but is it like a dogs claw if clipped to close that it does stop bleeding { vet does dogs claws i let them get biten :lol: } next time this needs doing i am going to the vet ,hopfully she will start eating again i was watching her and she wasnt able to pick hardly anything up at all never again am i doing this its scary .
