Was chatting to my friend earlier about what you can keep with what.... :-)19

Ducks, geese and turkeys.....

Can you keep chickens with all the above or is there any poultry you cant keep with chickens?? If the pen is big enough. I know ducks can be a bit messy and geese can be a bit territorial and turkeys are well dont know much about them, but any reason why you cant keep altogether :-)19

Thanks for any help and info

Well it's quite a big question! I would hazard that maybe not many of us have that amount of variety with our feathered friends! :D

I keep ducks and chickens and kept them housed separately, sometimes they mingle as I have plenty of space it is not a problem. I keep the ducks separate mainly because I don't want the ducks contaminating the chickens drinking water and feeders.Generally speaking ducks also need more space and can wreck a garden/run in a day if not careful, especially runners ducks which are very active! Geese I know can be territorial and that can be an issue, a friend of mine kept some runners with geese, but the geese were such bullies he had to separate them all.

Keeping turkeys well I have never kept them so can't comment only inasmuch as there is a risk of blackhead being contracted from chickens to turkeys, but not the other away around.
