Chicken Run Completed!

As a beginner to chickens I came across this forum a few months ago. I trawled through looking for advice and asked a couple of questions regarding my chicken run. The forum has helped me a lot on starting with chickens and building my run.

I finished the run around a month ago and have since bought 3 hens.

Wanted to thank you for the advice and help that was given and expect more questions regarding my chickens in the future!?

That is just FANTASTIC. What a lovely run! It looks really good in your garden, and all the hard work, careful planning and high-quality materials have come together to give you a run which both you and your lucky chickens will enjoy for many years.
Now for the excitement and joy of those first eggs!

I'm really impressed! How different from those hacked together runs that you see on allotments, etc! It's really a design triumph, well done you and just look at those happy chickens!

Good to have the roof draining into a water butt, but I’m sure you’ve realised that, although excellent for your plants, the water won’t be pure enough to fill the chickens’ drinkers? Risk of infection from wild bird droppings washed down from the roof would make this inadvisable.

Fresh water for them each day. The water butt Is for flowers and veg only! It’s all about keeping them happy!
