I have a flock of Hubbard chickens which are now 10 weeks old. Growing for the table. 1 of them started to get a bit wobbley on its legs, an carrying its tail down. I thought it was possiably due to its skin being slightley red, which i thought could be due to its poo on its feathers since they dont perch. Washed it and sprayed with antisepctic spray. But this morning, it was sat down with its legs out to the front from its hips, i tryed to help it stand but just colapsed again. What can i do to sort this problem out? And whats wrong with it? I give them fresh bedding every day to reduce the poo sticking to them.

Hi Wcah,
I thought Hubbards were despatched by 10 weeks. They are not meant to live very long and their bone structure is weak. Probably due to legs broken so best despatch immediately.

Leg problem can be the problem if they're not getting enough calcium, phosphorus, and vit D3. But can also be due to disease.
