Cheery Pics

I bet this was a LOT more interesting than the online debate about pension funds!

I was interested in the bit where it says

"The legislator, from President Alberto Fernández’s Peronist party, at first pleaded to be suspended from his seat"

What on earth was REALLY going on?

Would have to be something higher than his seat unless of course he was using "from" as in the point where he's connected to the suspension rope/chains or whatever ...

:-)08 :-)08 :-)08 .
Reminded me of that joke about the man going to the doctors

Man " I need to see the doctor it's urgent"

Receptionist "What's wrong"

Man " well I am not telling you in front of everyone it's personal"

Receptionist " Unless you tell me what is wrong, I can't tell how urgent it is and if you need the doctor"

Man "Well it's my ear"

Receptionist " That doesn't sound personal, what exactly is wrong with it"

Man " I can't piss out of it"

This arrived in my inbox today. What a wonderful business opportunity! What do you all advise?

Hello,

I am Mr. Dorso Sandwidi from Burkina Faso in West African region. I
work with the bank of Africa here in the nation. I am writing you from
my office that which will be of an immense benefit to both of us. In
my department, being the account manager I discovered an abandoned sum
of $18 million USA Dollars (Eighteen million Us Dollars) in an account
that belongs to one of the bank late foreign customers, a German
citizen who
unfortunately lost his life in a plane crash.

The choice of contacting you is aroused from the geographical nature
of where you live, particularly due to the senility of the transaction
and the confidentiality herein. Now our bank has been waiting for any
of the relatives to come-up for the claim but nobody has done that. I
personally have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for many
years now, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin /
beneficiary to the
deceased so that the proceeds of this account valued at 18 Million
Dollars can be done and paid to you for both of us.

This will be disbursed or shared between the both of us in these
percentages, 55% to me and 35% to you while 10% will be for expenses
both parties might have incurred during the process of transferring. I
have secured necessary information’s and the certificate of deposit
that can be used to back up this claim we are making.

All I require now is your honest Co-operation, Confidentiality and
trust to enable us sees this transaction through. I guarantee you that
this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect
you from any breach of the law.

Having gone through a methodical search, I decided to contact you
hoping that you will find this proposal interesting. Please on your
confirmation of this message and indicating your interest, I will
furnish you with more information.

Endeavour to let me know your decision rather than to keep me waiting or
exposing me.

Regards,

Mr. Dorso Sandwidi

I thought he was about to make an improper suggestion when I started reading this bit!!

He IS making a very improper suggestion! I wonder how hard he has tried in his efforts to be ‘unsuccessful in locating the relatives for many years now’ ? He acknowledges it’s not all above board in his last sentence!

I meant in a slightly different vein. Although the idea of the transaction being senile is a new one!

These scams have been doing the rounds for years although I haven't been on the receiving end of one for at least 18 months.

Yes it’s a classic, isn’t it? I’ve read about them but this is the first I’ve actually received. Was there a book recently where a man pretended to engage with the scammers and had long funny email exchanges with them?

Ohh I have so missed seeing some of these posts. Since being back at work full time and busy on a weekend, I haven't looked at the forum, but just spent the first 5 minutes laughing out loud just from this page. I saw a funny pic on Facebook and thought you all might appreciate it -:)

That’s hilarious. Our Poppy is fixated on watching TV and YouTube, but ideally she prefers video clips of terriers ratting! I’m going to copy this for my FB page!

I remember something about that although I have a feeling it might have been a Michael McIntyre clip but I can't track it down.

I'd reply that the deceased person's son works at the WHO & that they could use $18M right now to help fight Covid-19...

Reminded me of a friend who had a cold call asking if he would like a conservatory. To which he replied he would love one, and a lengthy discussion followed about size, type, roof, decor etc. Caller aske if he would like someone to come around and discuss it with him further with some rather nice brochures to which he said yes and duly arranged a time.

When the cold caller arrived he was somewhat annoyed to find it was a 10th floor flat. To which my friend replied "you asked if I would like one not if I wanted one, and I told you what I would like.

Since that episode he has not received a cold call from anyone.

He invited two Jehovah's witnesses in once, said that totally confused them being invited in.

Fabulous sheepdog pic as well

I thought the local Jehovah’s Witnesses must at last have given up on us, after a long time without any attempts to remedy our benighted state, but then realised that it must be God’s will to avoid close contact with the heathen at this anxious time. Strange, really - since we’re obviously now well into the End Times, I would expect them to redouble their efforts.

Well to give them their due, at least they're complying with social distancing & taking Covid seriously, unlike a certain president...

I hope this is a cheery pic but even though it seems like a strange place to be, I cant imagine this squirrel is stuck up there. The way it got into the pot and sat there cracked me up! Wired slate pots! I dont think I've seen any other old jobs like that around here. ... maybe its self isolating :D
