Cheery Pics

Love it. You would think just out of political expediency Boris would hide him away for 6 months. But no, he’ll try and tough it out. It could yet turn out to be a very costly mistake.

I think it was a conspiracy to distract the public so that no-one noticed the Agriculture Bill going through parliament without the proper food standards. Trump and Boris want us to eat hormone fed beef and chlorine washed chicken - not that there's any real problem with a chlorine wash, but it's the fact that it's necessary because of bad rearing conditions and poor hygiene So of course Boris isn't going to sack him - that was all part of the deal ...

Marigold, you have a wicked sense of humour - I love it!! I was really screwing up my eyes to read this, as it's a little blurred (no I have not been on the quarantini, hic) but my fave bit was Kate's bingo take on number 77 - goodbye to Megan... brilliant !! :-)10

Daughter is sending these, from a print copy of Private Eye, which accounts for the definition bring a bit off, sorry. But we did like this one, which had to go over two photos to get the last column in.

If you right click on pictures and save the image to your computer it's possible to zoom in - doesn't give greater clarity but it is a bit easier to read!

They improved my mood after the vandalism bit, thanks for copying them onto forum

When my FIL was alive he used to get PEye, then it was passed to his SIL, then his son, then me and then my brother! I even used to get a subs for my bro in Australia to remind him of home and the British sense of humour. I might get a subs for OH for his birthday, it might improve his political/coronavirus mood!

I've been watching this nest on and off but not much tends to happen - until the final 24 hours.

They act more like chickens than any other bird I've seen.

Yes - it’s really awkward for her with those legs and beak. Close up she looks like those mediaeval doctors in their black long pointed masks against the Black Death.

You have to watch this one to the end. Sorry it’s a Facebook link, I couldn’t find it on YouTube.

Sorry Marigold, link doesn't work says it's not available - to me anyway.

Oh, how clever Marigold. On a different tangent, I was talking to a Portugeuse person yesterday who genuinely thought a pale shell was indicative of a less good egg, that a stronger, healthier hen would lay a darker egg, yet in America people prefer (or certainly used to) a white shelled egg (and no, I am not making any sort of point here!)
