Last night, I thought I'd have a quick peep at Poultrykeeper before I went to bed. Rather than start up the laptop, I tried to log in through the browser on my phone, but I couldn't. I didn't get any "incorrect password" message or anything - I just couldn't log in, and could only browse around as a "guest". Now, I'm almost afraid to log out in case I at some point changed my password and forgot to take note of the new one, and would get locked out!

Is it just me, or is there some difficulty logging in through a phone's browser?

I don't often log on with my phone LadyA (very little mobile data till this contract runs out) but I did log on last week on the phone (Android with Chrome) and it was fine. May have been a temporary glitch with the connection when you tried - maybe.

I wonder if it's because I'm already logged in on the laptop? I logged in on the tablet- android through chrome - with no problem! Weird!

Nope! I've logged out and back in on the tablet with no problem. But the phone just won't log in. Oh well. Not a huge problem. Was more curious than anythingl

That is odd! Rebooting the phone sometimes sorts things out. Phones tend to stay running for months and can get in a bit of a twist.

Yes, I sometimes find it works to switch right off and then on again when one of my devices gets itself into a twist.
Once back to normal, you could try downloading the Tapatalk app for phones, LadyA, - it's much easier to post pics because it does it for you directly, and provides the pic as a link for people to click on, rather than going through all that rigmarole on the forum website. and because it works off the phone network, not wifi, you can use it anywhere you have phone reception.

I tend to use my phone rather than my laptop, as it has a clearer screen, albeit tiny. I use my Wi-Fi, not mobile data. It's odd because if I accidentally leave mobile data on because I've been out and about, I find it more difficult getting on websites when I'm back home. I wonder if the Wi-Fi is fighting with mobile data? As soon as I switch back to Wi-Fi at home, all is ok.

All these signals eh! Funny to think that just a few years ago it was dial up or nothing (the old burrizzshii-ping-a-ping-a-psshtttt noises from the modem.) I think you have just got a bit of a ropy mobile signal at home Tweetypie. You can set the phone to switch to Wi-Fi automatically when its available. Its often the default setting.
Must admit, I would have a dumbphone for out and about if you could still get one with a qwerty keyboard and a good mp3 player and audio driver - for being smug on the train when everyone else is on facebook and watching catch up tv. One of my favorites was the NoPhone Zero from a couple of years ago that was just a tactile flat slab of plastic! :)

I would gladly have just a "dumb" phone too, except that my daughter & brothers never seem to have credit, and so only use Messenger to communicate, and our church women's group also have a Voxxer chat group for communicating. I took FB app off the phone - but of course, I keep logging in through the browser!

We have a MiFi with a 10Gb per month limit (extra payment after that) and have found that if applications are not completely closed on the Mac data is still being counted. Our contract is with SFR because the Orange (Orange owns France Telecom) limit is only 4Gb and more expensive. We take the Mac and MiFi out with us- useful to use Google translate when we run into difficulties. The French struggle with our keypad though because their key layout is different.

We have a 'dumb' phone which recently has been a target of calls from Tunisia- you know the ones where it rings off before you can answer it so you call back without looking and get a €20 bill! As fast as we label the numbers 'scam' they ring from a different one.

Hi
I know this is from a few weeks / months ago, but just wanted to say that i had the same problem. I had to clear cookies / cache on my phone and request desktop site on my phone to be able to log in again. I hardly ever log in on my laptop, and I wasn't logged in on there at the time.

Wasn't just me then!! I regularly clear cookies, cache etc from phone. Finally, I just downloaded the Tapatalk app.
