I inherited this chicken along with a pair of silkies approximately 9 weeks ago and at the time they were all 4-5 weeks old, having been hatched in an incubator, all hatched together. This guy (and I presume he is going to be a guy as his tail feathers are forming and also his comb) is massive, bigger than my Amberlink,Goldline and Isa Browns. He dwarfs them all.He is most like a Jubilee Orpington and even though his feathers are getting a blueish tinge, he bears a lot of white flecks.
Hope you can help and thanks for looking.
I can't get my picture to upload ,so I am adding a link to a web album.

Sorry, don't know....

Is he (definately a boy by the way) a cross? Do you know what possible combinations of parents he could have?

I don't know what his parents were, the chap who hatched them out bought the eggs from Ebay, but couldn't remember the names of what he bought, the silkies are obvious, but he poses a bit of a problem.

To me he looks like a Silver Sussex (lacing and colours on heckle) crossed with a Black maran (feathering on legs). Cross him with light sussex pullets for good auto sexing eggs layers.

he looks like he could have some partridge cochin in him. i have 3 of the partridges 2,roosters one hen.
