Busy, busy!

Biscuits did help in the beginning. And the sickness is not nearly as bad now. When I was expecting her, I was eventually put on medication to stop me vomiting because instead of gaining weight with the pregnancy, I lost almost two stone! But now with Dau, it's the other issues. Seems she's got three separate complications, all quite rare, and the doctors at the hospital can't really tell her much, because they said it's extremely rare to have all three together! Thank goodness for modern medicine though, because long ago, she'd have just died, in agony, this week. [emoji33]
She said today "I bet this is a girl. Only a girl would cause this much drama, and command so much attention!" [emoji23][emoji23] And her son, although he desperately wants a little brother, keeps saying that baby is a girl, a sister.

Oh gosh, I didn't realise how seriously bad she was. Cannot even imagine that, when its supposed to be a joyful experience. I wonder if anyone's pregnancies have ever been a "walk in the park".
Hope she is better soon.

Well that's what I mean - these days, dealing with it was a pretty routine medical procedure. But a couple of hundred years ago, wouldn't have been much they could have done.
