Here's more information about the coronation chicken in Cinderford. Marigold should approve; she's a buff Sussex by the looks of it.

Since when have we started using the Americanism "coronated"? It actually means "having a crown or corona", in English there is no verb "to coronate" ...

I figured that the reporter had just got the word wrong. I didn't know it was an Americanism...

I've seen it used a couple of times recently. My English teacher used to say "Don't use a long word where a short one would do" although"crowned" isn't much shorter!
