Broody Pekin?

Hello everybody,
my 22 week old Birchen hen is going broody I think.
Sitting in the (one of two) nest box and growling every time I go anywhere near, being very temperamental and bad tempered, and fluffing up. She does not seem too bothered about sitting duties, though, and thats fine by me. Somehow she has managed to accumulate three eggs overnight, she shares with a gold partridge cockerel, a sablepoot and a white Silkie, both of whom lay. Shall I just leave her to get on with it?, I do not think the devoted mother bit will apply to Bella, as she is the misery of the Pekin world, but much loved by my granddaughters.

my pekins keep pinching all the other eggs stones balls any thing really mostly that wont hatch, one went broody on a load of old plastic eggs sitting in a moldy wet bin of compost. iv moved her along with plastic and eggs she had aquired and stuck her in the old duck house, iv still got eggs left that i was putting in incubator so i think il pop them in later for her. already have one on eggs and one with tiny chicks. good job really incubator been playing up so much latley

im woffling yes leave her too it but mark them for 3 days so she gets enough then any late comers can be removed and eaten

a lot of people say you should separate, mine have taken themselves away but my mums have hatched the chicks in with the others only 3 out of 10, 2 hens fighting over them both broody could of been the problem

all I can say is good luck. I have two silver birchen pekins and they started being broody in April I relented and let them both hatch two chicks each. Three weeks ago they went back in with the flock leaving their chicks a week later both of them are broody again. arghhhhhhhh.
I keep booting them of the nest box its a nightmare. Its difficult shutting them out of the house as the other hens need to lay. Reckon the dog cage will be coming back out tomorrow.
