broody for 21+

Hi . Perhaps you can advise: Hen went broody on 6th May put fertilised eggs under her at 3pm on mon 9th may. She was sitting tight. She only came off eggs to poo about once every 3 days. To my calculations given a day to warm eggs etc they should be hatching about Mon 30th. We are now at Tues 31st and not a peep. I even set up the camcorder for an hour tonight and nothing except there were a few blow flies around. Which to my thinking they should not be there as she is pooing outside. I am thinking that tomorrow i will lift her to see what is underneath and if all is rotten then i shall try to get a couple of day olds for her to bring up. Any advice apreciated. Last time one went broody she sat for21 days and we had 6 out of 10 survive all 6 were cocks which was my bad luck What are the precentages of nil out of ten eggs bought from a reputable breeder? Any advice appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.

i know a lot of people whos eggs have not hatched my mums have 3 batches the 3rd batch due fri but other 2 nothing putting it down to the changable weaher

This morning there was a baby chick poking its head out. Haven't seen any more so i will give her till tomorrow before I lift her off. She's angry when you see her now! Atleast she will have one to look after now.

Hi. Iv'e just moved the broody and she was still sitting tight on 7 whole eggs and 1 partly hatched egg. ! chick about 3/4 days old is ok. I broke a whole shell open and inside was a partly grown chick and the smell was horrible!! I don't know why she remained sitting? She attacked me when I moved her and her chick will leave her alone now !!
