Well, we were lookiing for some ducklings but after not being able to find any we are settling with chicks, nothing wrong with them, just we wanted webbed feet!
I literally have no idea on all the breeds, I know a few, but only when the photo and breed are together haha
going to a place this weekend hopefully to have a look at some, but if i list the breeds, can anyone show me a photo of what they look like as adults?
I love all chickens, as a chicken, but some just arent my cup of tea, but obviously being chicks they wont look much like mum or dad!
(dont worry i have everything for them, brooder, 'cage', chick crumb, ect :) )

Apparently these are also hatching today, but just copying and pasting for you, this was just on the updates page, but they also do hybrids, and as mine are pets, im really not worried what they look like, but like i said not all of them are my cup of tea!

'Wednesday 1st August PURE BREED CHICKS - MARANS, SILKIES, LEGHORN, CREAMLEGBAR, POLISH, ARAUCANA, ORPINGTON, WELSUMMER, COCHIN, BRAHMA, VORWERK, SALMON FAVEROLLE, PEKIN, ROSECOMBE BANTAM, BAUBE 'D' ANVER, '

Going to have a look around myself as some are very familiar, some not :)

Good morning Stanley,
If you type each name into Google search and then click on images, you will get a number of photos for each breed.
Good luck and have fun with your chickens.

Look at the parent website (poultrykeeper.com), link at the bottom of the page, Stanley. Tim has put a lot of breeds with descriptions on there and more to follow.

If you want good layers Marans and Leghorn. Less so but pretty Cream Legbar, Orpington, Welsummer. Beware of sexing. Most don't autosex (can tell by colouring at hatching) and start to show at 8 to 20 weeks. So you need a plan dealing with the half that are cockerels.

You are probably sorted by now, but I do have some ducks/duckling if you decide you are interested I am in Worcestershire and they would need to be collected so I may be too far away.

I find my Marans pretty good layers, but my Cream Legbars, and Olive Eggers lay even better :-)17

Thanks!
Had a quick look and they all look quite nice, actually, all types id have around!
Place obviously cannot guarantee sex, and wont take back boys, but we have plenty of space, so hopefully could keep them apart (10 acres!)
Dark brown eggs, how young are they, as we are looking for very young ones, as we are wanting to bring them up ourselves from babies, the sort of age you have under a brooder!
Was actually also given some ducks today!

Ah! :(
really really wanting to have a go ourselves, and loving the little webbed feet, as apposed to chicks for some reason!
The ones we were given are all fully grown ones, they seem just like 'campbells' i think, all pure white, one looks crested i think, but no idea on ducks, feel like a pro at chickens now haha
theyre lovely and have such lovely quiet quacks, almost relaxing, and already very settled!
If we cannot find some young ducklings we'll probably have some chicks, and get some ducklings next spring :)
