Just wondering if anyone had a pic of some bar headed goose eggs or know how big they should be? - I bought some on ebay as a present for my sister who loves these geese, but they arrived this morning and seem awfully large for such a small goose - they look to me more like domestic goose eggs, and my sucpisions are raised as they seem to be for sale on a very regular basis having looked further - it could be me just being suspicious and they have alot of them, but I'm begining to wonder if they are as they state as don't really want a bunch of embdens to pop out - if they are even fertile!! I've just relised they have used a stock photo as well rather than pics of their birds - I hope I haven't been ripped off!!!
Thanks in advance!

Gosh no idea on this one, have you posted in the incubation and hatching eggs sections here?

take pictures of the eggs and also take pics of the goslings if they hatch am sure you can get onto ebay for a refund if there not bar headed am also thinking you mean the seller with the pic of an adult and a baby

Yes it is the one with the pic of a goose and baby - it's a stock pic and not their birds, I haven't given feedback on them yet - 2 of the eggs were rotten/over cleaned and started oozing yellow goop and smelled bad after 12hrs in the inci, 1 was in fertile and the other, the smallest egg of the lot, I'm not sure - it has gone darker but my little torch isn't strong enough really so I'm going to wait for a bit and see. I did message them under my sisters ebay account and asked for a pic of their birds - they didn't have any, but did say they had 3 ganders and 5 geese, I have read up on them and apparently they only lay a max of 2 clutches a year each bird so judging by the amount they seem to be selling I very much doubt they are bar headed!!!
I'll email them when I know for sure and I won't be giving them positive feedback and will report them to ebay!!! - they're certainly making a pretty penny off others though as they are selling for around £40 a time every 3 days!!! :o

shocking realy is if i had a rear breed like them i would have lots of pictures of my stock to show off even if the 2 left do hatch and are bar headed i would still leave bad feed back for the 2 that never

Well surprise surprise the last egg did go rotten, I contacted the seller who still refuses to send a pic of her birds stating that 80% of sellers on ebay don't put pics of their actual birds on - total rubbish! She would not give a refund stating the post is to blame for rotten eggs. She asked why I had not questioned her sooner on why they eggs oozed and why they were so large - like it would have made a difference! - I waited 2 weeks to see if the remaining egg was fertile and if it did by some miracle hatch if it was indeed an embden as I suspect! I told her I thought they were embdens and she didn't comment but was more annoyed that I had said either the eggs were old and rotten before sending or that they were laid in filthy conditions and cleaned too much!! - Hmmmmm!!! So I'm reporting her to ebay and giving negative feedback - they've made a pretty penny though!!! The cheek of it!!!!
