am back to sqaure one the guy who had my boys has now decided he dont want them so i now have them back which has made part of me happy but i still gotta find them another home even been looking at rescue centres .
if i can find the one where i first ever got my girls from then i'll call them but i cant even remeber thier name :lol:

someone even said she was really happy as she hadnt managed to get pics of them so she could do paintings of them as they are such lovely colours 10

Can you go back to the person on Preloved who wanted one of them, and see if you can still rehome him? I think maybe you have to face the sad fact that nobody is going to want both of them together, but if you make up your mind to rehome them separately you might have a better chance, for at least one. Then maybe you could keep the other. It's really not a good idea to try to keep two cockerels unless you have lots of space, two runs, two lots of hens, and live a long way from neighbours. Rehoming one, or both separately, would really be much kinder for your lovely boys. We all feel sad when our 'children' leave home, but if you've done your best to find them somewhere nice, you can let them go.

hi there , i am still have them up on preloved and foxy is going to get me on that page on facebook so lets see what happens with that . my run is pretty big and its spilt into 2 main runs or 3 or it can open as one big run i was wandering wether its better to put 1 of the boys with the big girls { probably dinky as hes tougher } and then leave donkey in with the bantams to see if that keeps them a bit quieter for now .
will speak to the council tomorrw and explain that i have them back they may let me keep them until i do find homes for them i mean if they really wanted me to get rid of them then they would of told me 2 weeks ago when i first told her i had them but if they have to be p.t.s then i will sort that out my vet doesnt always charge me .

i have just been searching sites again and theres lots of posts with people wanting to find them homes but they never have an replys .

There are hundreds of unwanted and un-needed males around every year. Most are very attractive and most are useless in regard to breeding decent stock.
You could put one in with your bigger hens to see what happens but if he's immature, they might give him a hard time but if they're not fighting yet, you can leave them together till they do. Just be aware that it can happen and be prepared to dive in and split them up.

I have also just sold one of mine, though I have to wait until he comes to pick it up. I hope the same dosent happen to me!

when i got there he went they are crowing a lot as if to say to loudly and to often , i do want to put one with the big girls but i am not going to be around during the day now tell saturday to see what happens and with the early nights drawing in i might only get 1/2 hr a night before its time for them to go to bed .

i am not going to worry now if anyone complains nothing will be done for a few weks as the woman who deals with the allotments at the council is on holiday yet again for the next 2 weeks but i do have 1 friend who reckons her sister will have one of the boys just waiting on a text ,going to open the run up tomorw so all 3 sections become one large run should be interesting as normally all hell can break lose :lol: will check on them though at 10 am if worse comes to the worse then i will have the boys p.t.s

our chook pen is over 40 year old. but luckily they dont break out of it!

boys are of to a new home someone else is going to be brave enough to house them for me :lol: thing is everyone loves hearing them and not one person has heard them in the ealry hours like 6 am ,so many people want me to keep them and adore hearing them if it wasnt for the stupid rules i would keep them they only crow about 5-6 times a day at the most . :evil: i really hate rules . i had to put up with 2 lots of parties the weekend from a neighbour 1 door down and both ended at 3 am in the morning friday and saturday night that includes fireworks going of at 11pm and i cant keep two little cockerals .
