Not the most exciting information but I have just started this summary for keepers benefit. The global status of Avian Influenza and Newcastle disease can be found on my website - this summarises the disease notifications weekly from OIE and DEFRA.
The latest which is important because it was low pathogenic AI of the H5 subtype which can infect us. All 95 backyard poultry slaughtered.

Affected population One duck from a flock of backyard poultry (ducks and chickens) was found to be infected with low pathogenic avian influenza H5. This was an incidental finding.
