To date our smallest 'wind' egg has been 23 grammes. Recovered today from a run containing 4 large fowl, a Buff Orpington and three Gold Laced Wyandottes, was the smallest by far. It weighed 7 (yes, seven) grammes and measured 30.5mm on the major axis and 14mm on the minor. I cracked it open to make sure it wasn't a wild bird's egg -just white with traces of yolk funnily enough?
I have a photo of it next to a 49 gramme bantam egg, which I will download with some coop photos soon.
