It was Lulu. The others are all peering in to look at it like - Whoa! You laid an egg!

:D The union must have crumbled to decadent popularism. I had two eggs today - the votes have been cast! There were rowdy celebrations in the run and a wild party where cabbage was eaten with wild abandon!

I must be VERY lucky. My girls have been laying daily since January. Sindy lays every other day. I usually give half a dozen to my Son, but last week gave a dozen to a work colleague, as I was getting 4 eggs most days. Think I need to start making meringues. :-)

Cabbage? No-one told us we'd get cabbage if we started laying again... Right Hope, right Tufty- gird those loins. Holly's doing her bit on the laying front, & Mum says that I'm excused after laying 972 eggs in my lifetime. It's down to the rest of you. We haven't had a cabbage in months!

(Nadia gets off her soapbox...)

Morrisons have been doing 'sub standard' sweetheart cabbage (big and green but loose in the middle) at 50p each. Perfect! They obviously haven't been factoring in the preferences and buying potential of chickens! No more eggs today but the two yesterday were very tasty and had such thick shells they nearly bent the spoon and dented the frying pan!

Tufty's taken note & laid a couple of eggs at last. I'd better get down to the farm shop for that cabbage...

With a chicken, bribery will get you everywhere! Yesterday I had 3 eggs so all are laying. Always a relief to be safely firing on all cylinders again!
