Advice needed

In a few weeks I am having a large tree removed from my garden under which sits my walk in run and hen house.
What do I do with my girls for a couple of hours ,I don't want them getting stressed and frightened with all the noise and possibility of some thing falling on the run. Will they be ok in three pet carriers for this time...I have six bantams? The only other solution is to make a temporary enclosure in my kitchen which I know will cause a few raised eyebrows from the rest of the family!

They'll be fine in the pet carriers, certainly better than getting into a panic and possibly getting in the way of the workmen. Put the carriers in a quiet shady place away from the work, provide water and something to nibble at, and just keep an eye on them.
