Hi,
i am new at this, we have just got 3 chickens, 2 POL and one which is a month younger than the others. she seems to be bullied, and we are worried she should be on different food? she is also very clingy to us, flying onto our knee or back. any help gratefully received. Dee

Hello and welcome :) If she is a lot smaller/weaker than the other two and has not been in with them before you got them, I would be inclined to remove her to her own coop and get another one the same age to keep her company- then when they are a little bigger and braver- reintroduce them all to one coop/house. I know it may not be practical but i am sure you could rig up some sort of temporary accomadation :)
This will save her getting too badly hurt and too stressed- it's not fair on her if she is smaller and weaker than the other two. Let us know how she goes, good luck :)
As for food- she should be still on growers pellets/meal and the POL should now be on layers pellets/meal.
regards, David :)

thanks davidd,

we have bought some growers pellets and she is loving these. others on layers ones and are laying well. havent got the option of separating her but she is doing much better, not really bullied, more bottom of the pecking order. there is no problem going into the henhouse, they dont chuck her out, she is eating well and loves apples and broccoli. Fortunately my hubby works from home so is keeping an eye on her.

thanks you for your thoughts.
