2eggs in one day!

One of my Indian Runner ducks has started to lay sometimes 2 eggs a day.Tuesday there was nothing,Wednesday there were 2 and today 1 - it's definately the same duck as I only have one other female and she lays her eggs somewhere else and they are a different colour and she's laying her one a day as well. Could it be something to do with them beginning to go off lay? she is starting to moult.Has anyone else had this happen?

Hiya, I know of other runners that lay 2 a day. It is not a normal cycle, but I wouldn't be too worried unless the eggs have poor shell or soft shells or if she seems distressed. She should stop during molt but this weird weather has thrown all the ducks off track a bit So their little bodies don't know what season it is. Keep us posted x

Will keep an eye on her. At the moment she appears fine and the eggs are as normal with good strong shells.
